meMy name is Mark Ceb.

I guess you could say I’m Jack of Some Trades. Not all trades. Just some.

I make videos.

I’m better known as “Action Points” on YouTube where I make videos about video games, culture and the space between them where the smash into each other.

It’s mostly presented as video essays where I attempt to explore confusing and strange topics for the every person who may not know or have the time to dig into the nitty gritty.

I also create art.

My art is inspired by the cartoons, comic books, and video games of my childhood. Nearly all of my art focuses on a character — offering a face or identity for you, the viewer, to connect with as you explore each image.

I use detailed (labored) pencil illustration and color that (hopefully) brings a tangibility to each piece.

I received my Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Illustration from California State University, Northridge.

Mostly I’m someone who asks “Why?” and tries to find an answer.

I love the Internet. It’s pretty important.

But a lot of people — the mainstream media in particular — don’t really get it.

That’s why I’ve made it one of my goals in life to explain to the general public the nuances of Internet sub and counter-cultures. Because the Internet is so much more than cat pictures and traced memes.
